Before and After

Before Melissa

This is one of the rare photos of me. I was usually the one behind the camera. Sometimes I look at this woman and wonder who she is, and other times I look in the mirror and she seems to be looking back at me!

In Case You Missed It

This was taken about a year after our twins died when I went to visit a dear friend who also lost her sweet babies. It was a painful time in my life, and I self-medicated with lots of food!

I did it! It is hard to believe that I managed to lose more than 100 pounds. I experience five to seven pound fluctuations, but that I can live with that for now.

We enjoyed a beautiful fall day walking around the woods. I feel good – inside and out – and I try to remind myself that this journey is about the proccess not the perfection!

These are the only "before" pants I kept. I thought I might need a reminder of where I didn't want to return.

This is the only pair of “before” pants I kept. It’s hard to imagine fitting in them now, but I like to keep them as a reminder.

  1. You look fantastic! If you don’t mind, I would like to add you to my blogroll so that others find your site and get inspired like I did.

I just started down the 100 pounds weight loss track and decided to start a wordpress blog to keep myself honest, journal my achievements and setbacks, and get motivation. I’ve lost 13 so far and am realistic about the mini-goals that go into meeting a larger one. Like you, I’m working 10 pounds at a time. They’ll add up!

If you are so inclined, please add me to your blogroll too! I appreciate the support!

  2. Thanks for adding me to your blogroll. I’ll check yours out and do the same. Best of luck to you!

  3. What an accomplishment!

  4. Wow! Congratulations.

  5. Wow! You look amazing! I’m so inspired by your story – thank you for sharing it! I just began my journey to lose 100 pounds and nothing inspires as much as seeing “normal” people who have succeeded. I, too, am an Ivisible Girl who’s been uncomfortable in her own skin for a good decade now. I felt an immediate connection to your blog and have added you to my weightloss blog roll. ๐Ÿ˜€ ~ Angie
